EAC - Computer Game Crazy

Well it's Tuesday and that means a new challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge.This week the theme is shabby. Perfect for another masculine card that I have made for my Nephew's birthday.

 I love card making but I am finding spending so much time sat on my behind crafting is not good for my stomach.......it has nothing to do with the number of chocolates I have managed to stuff over Christmas! So that I can keep crafting I am spending two nights a week doing Zumba and Pilates. Monday's Zumba is already out the way only tonight to go and then I'm done for the week Yay!.

As for most crafters I am finding that I am accumulating quite a few cards so I have decided to have a go at selling them on Ebay. If you are interested I have a link on my sidebar.

Paper: My Minds Eye - Hattie

I have ripped the papers into rough square shapes and then distress the edges with Tim Holtz Distree Inks (Walnut). I also added gold embossing powder to a few edges.

The image is coloured with Copics and cut out so that it stands proud of the paper.

The inside of the card has been decorated the same as the front but wthout the embellishments.

EAC - No.169 - A Cats Choir

Good morning,

it's Tuesday morning and time for our weekly challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge.

"Christmas" is the theme to help you complete another card.

I've kept my card simple by using the image as the main focus of the card.

I've used a digi image from Mo Manning called Singin Beautiful.
The papers are Bo Bunny Midnight Frost.
I've coloured the cats with greys Ws & Cs
1st Cat - W0,W1,W2,W5, R29, RV59
2nd Cat - C1, C2, C3, YG11, G21, YG17
The background is Cs and distress inks. The edge is coated in liquid pearl.
Glitter was used for the hats and the ground.
Sentiment - taken from My Minds Eye paper and Magnolia stamp

I've used Copics to colour the image and Basic Grey papers for the sketch.

EAC 101 - Watch the Birdie

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge we have an excellent sketch for you to follow. Unfortunately I stuck my embellishments on the wrong side and only noticed after they were stuck fast. Oh well its similar. This card has been made for a 60th birthday and the man in question loves golf. I have used one of the Big Guy images created by Mo Manning at Digital Pencil Too and he has been coloured using copics. The backing paper I purchased recently and is from the Paper Company. the blue strip of paper has been embossed with a cuttlebug folder, distressed with ink, grey copics and a white pen. The embellishments are a trophy I found in clip art and I added the font and the golf bag is a button. The sentiment I created on the computer and cut out using nestabilities. EAC No. 98 - Giggle, It's Your Birthday

Hi Everyone

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge we have an excellent sketch for you to follow. Please join in if you can as the design team love to view your creations.

It's my Niece's birthday at the end of July and so I have used a perfect image from Digital Pencil Too. Its from the Dani and Friends set. I have coloured the image with Copics and used liquid pearls for the background. The papers are from Daisy Bucket - Groovy. The tag is from Tim Holtz and the flower I made myself.

I am really pleased with it. The colours are really vibrant. Hopefully my Niece will like it.

EAC No.93 - Summer

Its Tuesday again and another challenge from Everybody Art. This week the theme is Summer.

I have made my card for my Nephew, its his birthday in a few weeks so I am ahead of time for a change. The image is a digital stamp purchased from Digitalpenciltoo and its one from the big guy range.

I have coloured him using copics and the background clouds with distress inks.

I have layered K&Co and Basic Grey paper on yellow card and Spearmint bazill card.

The embellishments are brads, gems and best wishes ribbon.

EAC No. 92 - Jack & The Beanstalk

Today over at Everybody Art Challenge the theme is Fairytale. I had intended on doing Hansel & Gretal making a 3d reveal card showing lots of candy but I couldn't get it to look right so I had to put it to one side and start again. My card is Jack and the Beanstalk and I have used a digital stamp from Digitalpenciltoo created by Mo Manning. I have kept my card very simple with as little embellishment as possible. The backing paper was a freebie out of a magazine some time ago, and the 2nd layer is a piece of Kanban card. The image was coloured with copics and everything finished off with a satin bow and sentiment from Rachel Anne Miller. The picture doesn't look so great because it was quite late in the evening and even in a light tent I cannot get my cards to look as they do in my hands. Have a great week and thanks for looking. A New Bundle of Joy - Everybody Art Challenge No. 78

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge we have a great sketch for you to follow. A work colleague became a Grandmother for the first time recently and so I made her a card to celebrate. As usual I have used a digital stamp from Digital Pencil Too. I have used pale green bazzill card together with Nana's Nursery Baby Boy paper and a small piece of Crafty Individuals Springtime paper. I finished the card with lace, organza ribbon, two buttons and a cute teddy bear charm. The congratulations tag pulls out to reveal a personal message. As always the image is coloured with copics. Everybody Art Challenge No. 75 - Blue/Brown/White

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge is a colour theme. The challenge is to use blue, brown and white. I have made my card for my Nephew who celebrated his 18th Birthday recently. Once again I have used a Mo Manning image, I just love them because there is always an image that fits perfectly for my project. To make this card I have used papers from various K&Co paper pads, these being, Ancestry & Life's Journey both pads. I wanted the card to appear worn so to create this effect I ripped, curled and distressed the edges with ink. The image was coloured with Copics and the background with distress inks. The effect behind the image was created by embossing a blue piece of Bazzill card with a Cuttlebug circle folder. I then swiped two ink pads over the top (Ranger Vintage Photo & Dew Drop Silver). To highlight the circles I used a white gel pen. For the "18 Today" I have used Sizzix alphabet "Fruit Smoothie" To finish I added a ribbon, charm and a word sticker. Young Love - Everybody Art Challenge No. 74

This week over at Everybody Art challenge is a fabulous sketch created by Domi. I have combined the sketch with a lovely digital stamp by Mo Manning. It's called "Young Love" . As soon as I seen it I knew it would be perfect to help celebrate my parents 52nd Wedding Anniversary. To make the card I have used Card/Paper - Yellow Bazzill card, Backing paper - Jen Wilson's 29th Street Market, Basic Grey Indian Summer I have edged the paper with my Vintage Distress Ink and Stickles glue. I used Martha Stewart's doily punch on a piece of yellow paper, distressed it and glued gold satin ribbon through the middle. The foliage was created using Martha Stewart's frond punch and some leaves purchased at a fair. The flowers were purchased from Ebay. The image was coloured using copics: B00, B23, B45, BG93, C1, C5 C7, E000, E00, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, E43, E50, G21, Y11, Y17, Y21, Y38, YR23, YR31, YG11, W1, W3, W5, W7 & 0 To finish I added a sentiment I printed off the computer together with pearls and a cherub. My parents loved their card but pointed out they are not yet as wrinkly as the image suggests. Check out the beautiful artwork created by my fellow design team members. Fun in the Snow - Everybody Art Challenge No.73

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge the theme is snow. I for one would like the weather to change, as trying to manage a team of people and ensure they stay safe but get the job done is becoming an increasing headache. Unfortunately forensic pathology waits for no one and so closing a department for days on end is not an option. On top of that the nasty cold I mentioned at the beginning of the year has come back with avengence. The sore throat is so bad its difficult to swallow and is not helped by the dry tickly cough. The pounding headache makes it difficult to concentrate and the aches and changing temperature makes me want to curl up and hibernate. Some days are better than others and its on these days that I try to work on my card designs. I have kept this design quick and simple. I know lots of people are having fun in the snow so found a lovely digital stamp created by Mo Manning called Toboggan . You can purchase this design at Digital Pencil Too. To make the card I have embossed the background using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. I cut the shape using my Spellbinders largest label Nestabilities and then embossed it with the Spellbinders Snowflake Impressabilities. A blue ink pad was used to pick up the design. I coloured the image using Copics and then cut it out, shaped the edges and used foam pads to lift it off the page. The snow at the bottom of the page was made by ripping strips of white paper, layering them up and using wet glue to stick glitter on to it. I have gone mad with the stickles glue using it to edge the card and put a little bling on the image. Its not easy to see but I have also covered some of the dots to make it look like snow falling. Finally I have tied some organza ribbon around the spine and attached a sentiment using a holographic sticker. Copics used for the clothes were YG11, YG23, YG63, B00, B02, B05, RV02, RV06, C1, C3, C5 I apologise for not leaving comments on your blogs for all the lovely artwork you create but am hoping this will change over the next week or so. Every Art Challenge No. 70 - Cute Christening

This is my creation for this weeks challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge. My friend's baby is being Christened just after Christmas so I thought I would make something now to have a break from Christmas cards. This is a digital image from Digitalpenciltoo. It's called Michael but I've turned it into a little girl! I've used stickle glue on the wings and halo. I used Ranger ink to change the colour of the flower, added a charm and hair pin with beads. The paper is Papermania Regency A5 paper. I hope you like the card and thanks for looking. Jenny

Tri Fold Card & Two Challenges

I have made this card for my Niece. Her birthday is not until December so I am well ahead of myself for a change. It's called a tri fold card and although looks complicated is very easy. It must be it has only taken me a couple of evenings to finish. To make the shape: 1. Cut a piece of 12x12 card across and 5.5" down 2. Score at 2", 4", 8" and 10" 3. Cut two lines horizontally 1.5" down from the longest outside edge (top and bottom) 4. Now bend the score lines using mountain and valley folds (1st fold up, 2nd down, 3rd up and 4th down) 5. Decorate however you please. More in depth instructions with pictures are available on the splitcoaststampers website. I am going to enter this design for two challenge blogs. The first being Mos Digital Challenge No. 4. The spec was to create a card using any folds other than a standard A2 fold and to use one of Mo's digital stamps. This isn't difficult as all of Mo's designs are excellent and a dream to colour. The 2nd challenge is week 7 photo inspiration over at the Basic Grey Challenge Blog. See the picture below.
