Anniversary - Hanglar & Stanglar

Happy Tuesday to all.
Today we have a theme for you to follow over at Everybody Art Challenge and its "Flowers"

For my card I have used flowered papers and flower embellishments.

Materials used:

I have used two of the older Hanglar & Stanglar images and coloured them with Prisma Pencils

The papers are, Basic Grey Wisteria & Crafty Individuals Springtime Book 3

Organza and satin ribbon

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

I've finished everything off with distress ink and stitching.

Birthday Celebrations

I would like to wish all my visitors a very Happy New Year full of lots of creativity.

I had a very enjoyable Christmas and was lucky enough to receive some fabulous crafting goodies from my nearest and dearest. Lots of rubber stamps to create my own backgrounds and a few cute images from Stamping Bella. I also received a few Martha Stewart punches that I have been itching to buy for some time now, distress inks to add to my growing collection and beautiful papers. I especially like receiving paper because it is usually designs I wouldn't buy myself so provides me with a greater variety to chose from when making a card. Since Christmas I have been suffering from a very nasty cold which has managed to restrict my daily routines and all I have wanted to do is lay down. New Years Eve was spent laying on the sofa watching rubbish on TV. Sods law when its the one time of year I get a few extra days off of work and was looking forward to crafting. January is a busy time for card making as I have so many family and friends cards to make. I have made my first easel card, in fact I have made two but the other one will be showcased on Tuesday when the next Everybody Art Challenge is revealed. This card is for my Mum as it will be her 70th birthday this week. I am entering it into this weeks challenge over at Charisma Cardz, the theme is Celebrations.

I have used a cute image from Hanglar & Stanglar and coloured her with Copics. I have edged the image and the paper with stickles glue (Platinum) I also added a little glitter to a couple of the roses. The papers are from the Basic Grey Indian Summer range and I have layered it with K&Co paper, pink bazzill card, silver mirri board and grey bazzill card. Thanks for looking. Jenny

Autumnal Wedding - Hanglar & Stanglar - Multiple Challenges

I have created this card for a wedding coming up in November. The brief was to create an elegant card large enough for many people to sign, using a cute stamped image. I wasn't given a colour scheme so decided to go with autumnal which fits in to this weeks challenge over at Everybody-art-challenge.blogspot.com. I knew the image would look great coloured in shades of brown and cream and layered with gold mirri and copper stardream paper. I love to use punches on my cards. The one used is from Craft Habitat. It's perfect for adding elegance to a design and has made the flower look very delicate. It also enables me to join in with this weeks challenge over at Daring Card Makers - Getting punchy with it. This week over at Simon Says Stamps Challenge blogspot the theme is all that sparkles. To get some sparkle into my design, besides using gold mirri card, I have used a metallic edge satin ribbon and edged a tag with gold foil. The image has a few dots of stickles on it. Finally to bring it all together I have used last weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers Challenge Blog. Hanglar Wedding Wishes - Basic Grey & Stamp Something

Another project completed and this time I can enter the card into two challenge blogs. Basic Grey, Week 3 Inspiration Challenge have asked for a card to be created taking inspiration from the picture shown above and Stamp Something asked for a card using a favorite stamp and the addition of a punched design. Basic Grey Photo - for me it symbolised elegant, fresh, clean lines with different textures. Stamp Something - not difficult choosing a favorite stamp or adding punched detail to a card. I love this Hanglar & Stanglar image. It's really easy to colour and as I have three wedding cards to make will come in very useful. I am pleased with the card although I did mess it up a little with the sentiment. I had planned to put it at an angle above the image but after sticking everything in place I found it didn't look right. The best place would have been above the image, however this would have only looked good if I had moved everything down. Not an option as I had glued everything in place. So the only place for it was at the bottom. Not perfect but I have learnt from this so won't make the same mistake again. To make this card: Card/Paper - A3 linen card cut down to approx 25 x 16cm Moss Green Dotty Bazzil Card to cover the front Layered with Bazzil Pearlescent Cream Card Top layer, Basic Grey, Chintz 12x12" paper part of the Porcelain range Image Topper - Hanglar & Stanglar Wedding Stamp stamped onto Bristol Board Coloured with Copics Edged with green Ink Layered onto Silver Bazzil Pearlescent Card & Bazzil Pearlescent Cream Card Text - Using my hot Foil Wizard i have written the text using silver foil onto quartz Stardream paper and layered onto silver Bazzil pearlescent card. Embellishments - Graphite Organza Ribbon - Pearl gems Tools - Punch from Craft Habitat I haven't taken a picture of the inside but I used more of the Basic Grey chintz paper to cover the inside and the inked the edge of some white paper and fixed this in place leaving a large border. To finish everything off I made a box and decorated it with a strip of moss green dotty card which had been punched both sides and engraved their names using my Hot Foil Wizard.
