Mr & Mrs

I'm back again, this time with a wedding card. don't you just love Lili of the Valley images, this cute image has been crying out to be stamped for some time now and finally I've done it. The papers are so delicate and pale it has been really difficult capturing the prettiness of them. This picture is a little darker than the original card (it's got to be the camera.......or more likely to be that I am terrible with a camera!)
Materials used:
Bazzill Card - Pale green and Peach
Paper - Karen Neuburger - Floral ( a bargain at £2.50 for 19 sheets in Canada last year) The papers are so delicate and beautiful it's taken me 10 months to start using them.
Image & Sentiment - LOTV - Mr & Mrs
Copics - Skin - E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair - E53, E31, E35, E37
Clothes - W0, W1, W2, W3 & YR00
Flowers - YR000, YR00, YR02, YG11, YG03
Embellishments - Wild Orchid (the roses were white but I coloured them with the same colours
as the flowers on the image)
Lots of Stickles glue (diamond) around the edges and stitching.
Finally cluster gems from Crystal Stickers.
Here is a close up of the coloured image. I have made this card to enter into 4 challenges: Charisma Cardz #14 - Weddings/Anniversary LOTV - #91 Peach & Green colour scheme My Partner in Crafting Crime - #24 Layer it up Totally Papercrafts - A perfect sketch Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the card. Easter Extravaganza with Magnolia Mini's

Evening all,
today's project is not a card but a mini exploding box using one of the mini Tilda's from the Fairytale selection of Magnolia stamps. I have used a Spring/Easter theme and have added a little surprise inside the box.
I have made this to enter into the Magnolia-licious Highlites - Easter Extravaganza challenge
Outside of box
Inside of box
The box measures 7.5cm high and 4cm wide when closed. Anything bigger would have made mini Tilda looked swamped.
The creme egg is a mini size and to keep it in place I have made it look as though it's in a nest.
Materials used:
Green pearlescent card for the base and Prima Marketing Fairy Flora paper
I have stamped the mini Tilda 6 times and coloured her with Copics. The wings are glittered.
The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch. All have been attached with thin strips of acetate so that they move in the wind.
The flowers are a mixture of Prima and something else, the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch coloured with Copics.
Enjoy the weekend and thanks for taking the time to stop by blog.

EAC - Bird Watching

It's Tuesday and time for another challenge from the Everybody Art Challenge Team. With the Easter break getting closer we would like to see your Easter projects.
I don't usually make or send Easter cards because I don't know anyone that celebrates it in that way so have used a card that I made at a recent Copicific Retreat that I attended. The components and design of this card was not something that I came up with, that pleasure goes to a very talented lady called Karen Brown who was one of the demonstrators during the Copic weekend. I did however, colour the image, stick everything together, oh and added the ribbon!

The image is by Heltz Cuppleditch - Ruffles Bird Watching

Such a cute little pup and easy to colour with Copics.
The dry embossed background is by Crafts Too - Daisy, the sentiment is by Personal Impressions and the ribbon was purchased at the NEC recently.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting.

Sing for your Supper

Happy Mothering Sunday.
Today I would like to share a card with you that I have made for my Dad.
Whilst blog hopping I came across the cutest image by La Pashe showcased on Jak Heath's blog. The image is called "We're Hungry" and as soon as I seen the chicks scrawny little necks and open mouths I knew this image would be perfect to use for one of my Dad's cards (he breeds small birds) and there is always a chick or two to take a peek at.
I wanted to keep the card simple so that the image remained the main focus of attention and Domi's sketch over at Simon Says Stamp fits the bill.

I printed the image twice so that I could decoupage some of the leaves, only three in this case but hopefully you can see them. Below is a closer view of the chicks and the leaves. How cute are they?

I wanted the card to be distressed (not the image), to achieve this I very roughly inked the card edges and paper edges before using my scissors to distress further. I wanted to stitch the paper but again wanted this to look very rough (and it does!).

Materials used:

Card/Paper - Craftwork Cards Back 2 Basics card / First Edition Up Up & Away / Craft Creations - Brown Kraft paper

Image / Sentiment - La Pashe - We're Hungry / LOTV - Times to Treasure

Copics - Chicks - E00, E02, E11, W3 / Leaves - YG03, YG17, YG67, G29 / Nest - E53, Y28, E57, E79

Ink - Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Embellishments - Feather, Button

After searching for challenges, it looks as though I can enter quite a few this weekend. They are:

Catch the Bug - Anything Goes

Craft us Crazy - Easter/Spring

Dutch Dare - Distressing

Fairy Fun Fridays - Oh so Spring

Fussy & Fancy - Zipper or Feather

Little Miss Muffet - Stitching

Simon Says Stamp - Domi's sketch

Stamp Something - Use a digi

Totally Papercrafts - One for the boys

Thanks for stopping by today.
