LOTV - Mother's Day with a Spring Twist

Evening everyone,
tonight I would like to share a Mother's Day card I have made for my Mum. I thought I would have a go at making a double easel card. It was easy putting the mechanism together only hard choosing a layout on such a small scale but I got there in the end with the help of a couple of very cute LOTV images.

My Mum loves nothing better than a cup of tea and a good old chat and so everything about this card is perfect for her.

Here is a close-up of the Friends image called Coffee Break

and the other image is called Tea Party. This little cutie is my favourite Other materials used: Base card - pink & pale green Bazzill card
Papers - teapot paper (freebie from a magazine), Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose Collection, First Edition Papers - Up, Up and Away and Papermania - Rose Garden
Images - LOTV coloured with Prisma Pencils & distress inks around the edge
Embellishments - Flowers (Wild Orchid Crafts), Pearls, Ribbon, Chipboard letters (in stash), buttons
Other - Stickles glue for the bling on the flowers
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today.

EAC - LOTV - Remember When.........

Good morning, it's Tuesday and time for another challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge. This week we would like to see your projects using pink and brown. For my card I have used another cute image from Lily of the Valley. I have so many stamps still to stamp up so you will probably be seeing LOTV for a few weeks to come. For once I am really pleased with the way this card turned out, everything seemed to come together quickly.
Here is a close up of the coloured image. Check out the shoes, I've added glitter to make them sparkle.
Materials Used: Papers - Bo Bunny - Crazy Love Mediums - Copics and Prisma Pencils Skin - E00, E02, E21 Dress & Hat - RV02, RV13 Hair/Cardigan & Bench - E53, E57, E59 Grass - YG03, YG63 Glittered Shoes - C1, C3 & Glitter Embellishments - Prima Flowers, Wild Orchid Roses, Ribbon (very old found in my late Nans sewing box) Pearls - coloured with Copics The inside of the card is completed with the same papers and I have carried the sketch over. Magnolia Cupcake Birthday Treat

Happy Saturday everyone, the sunshine has left us this afternoon in Oxfordshire so it's an ideal time to upload my card for today.
I made this card a little while ago now for a special lady in the Netherlands and haven't got around to posting it.
Luckily for me over at Just Magnolia the theme is "Eyes Down - Bingo", the idea is to choose three embellishments from the list either across, down or diagonally. For my combination I have chosen , gems, flowers, ribbon and lace.
Also over at Colour Create the theme is pastels.
I have used a cute Tilda from the Butterflies and Dream collection and have coloured her with Prisma Pencils.
The flowers around Tilda are the waste from the punched edging. The paper I love, its a set from Dovecraft called Tea House, it is full of pastel shades.
Here is a close up of Tilda and my stitching, which isn't too bad!
To embellish the card I have used Prima flowers, roses, lace, ribbon, pearls, gems and butterflies punched, stamped and glazed.
I have found a few other challenge blogs that I can enter my card into. They are:
I am off to the NEC tomorrow, to see what goodies I can find......... not that I need anything but its very difficult to see all the things on offer and not spend any money.

Have a great weekend and thank you for taking the time to stop by today.

LOTV - A Fairy Thank You

Hello again, its the weekend at last and the sun is shining.
Although I am in the midst of a nasty cold, I have some time and energy to make a card. I do have the usual house chores to do but they can wait a little longer!
I have made a thank you card using a beautiful little fairy from Lily of the Valley, her name is Freedom (ref code S225). This is the first time of inking her up since my other half kindly bought her for me at the Farnborough show in February.
I have used the excellent sketch created by Bev over at the LOTV Thursday Challenge Blog because I would like to enter this card into this weeks challenge.
LOTV are also looking for a Guest Designer chosen by the DT to join them for 4 weeks, so be sure to get your entries in for a chance of being on the DT. Good luck.
I stamped the fairy's wings a second time so that I could decoupage them to add dimension. They were coloured with Copics and then glittered using a Quickie Glue Pen and Stampendous Ultra Fine Crystal Glitter.
You kind of get the idea from this photo.
Items used:
Base card - Bazzill (not sure of the exact name but it is a darkish dusty pink)
Paper - Prima Marketing - Fairy Flora
Image - LOTV Freedom Fairy (code S225)
Sentiment - Rachael Miller stamps
Flowers - Prima Marketing & Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon & edging - Organza Dots from craft show, Martha Stewart Doily punch
Butterflies - Martha Stewart punch - coloured with Copics and glittered for bling. The bodies are tiny pearl gems.
Faux stitching - White pen (being lazy, couldn't be bothered to get the sewing machine out!)
Dry Embossing - Cuttlebug Birds & Swirls
Finishing touches - Stickles and glitter for lots of sparkle and pearls, gems & brads
Finally the Copics used:
Wings - E00, E93, RV13, RV34 & V12, B00, B05
Skin - E00, E02, E21
Hair - E53, E57
Dress - RV10, RV13
Leaves - YG03, YG63
Butterflies - E00, E93 & RV10, RV13 & G00, G02
I have carried the sketch over to the inside of the card.
I am also entering my design into the following challenges for this week, they are:

Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend.

Time to Celebrate with Kenny K

Hi to all. It's Tuesday and another challenge over at EVERYBODY ART CHALLENGE, but before that ............................... I would like to tell you about the excellent weekend I have shared with fellow Copic obsessed ladies! It was a Copic retreat weekend at the Milton Hill Hotel in Oxfordshire organised by Wendy the owner of Stamps and Memories along with demonstrator Karen Watson. There were various classes to teach a variety of techniques when using the markers that many of us love. I had a great time and met some really nice people. Wendy also organises day Copic courses in various locations and so if a whole weekend it just too much for you, I would recommend a day course. Check out the website for more information. Ok back to this weeks card..................
This time I have made a masculine card for my Nephew's birthday. I have used the digital image called Carmen by Kenny K which is perfect for a man in his early twenties.
Materials Used Image - Kenny K Sentiment - LOTV Bazzil peach card Complete Boy by My Minds Eye I have recycled an onion bag for the black netting The ribbon is from my ever growing stash Staples I distressed the paper using scissors before sewing around the edges. The image is coloured with Copics Skin - E00, E02, E21 Boots - C3, C5, C7 Headscarf, Bikini - Y38, YR07 Hair - sorry I put them back before recording the numbers Background - Prisma Pencil PC1020 Celadon Green. I have carried the papers and sketch over to the inside of the card. I am entering this card into the following challenges: Kenny K's Krafty Girlz - Lace, Ribbon, Bow CES Challenges - Men Only Moving Along with the Times - Men Thanks for taking the time to drop by and happy crafting. EAC - Baby Boy Gift Card

Today's project is a present within a card. I have made it for this weeks challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge which has the theme "Baby". Be sure to check out the other DT members for more inspiration.
To make my card I have used the tutorial created by my fellow DT member - Tina - Click Here. Thanks sweetie your instructions were perfect.
I have used the excellent sketch created by Rach over at Friday Sketchers.
The inside of the card contains a pair of socks/booties and there is plenty of room to add a few other items.
I have used a cute digital image from KLM Digital Stamps called New Baby's Foot.
The papers are a mixture of digital papers from Graphics-U-$ell
The circle is a Nellie Snellen multi frame and to this I have used a Cuttlebug embossing folder - Swiss Dots, I have also used a Martha Stewart punch. The embellishments are ribbon from my ever growing hoard, pearls, gems, a button and Prima flowers. I have also added stickles around the edge of the papers but it's difficult to see in my picture.
The sentiment on the inside is a LOTV stamp.
I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Auds Sentiments Challenge

Thanks for looking and I hope you like the card.

Put a Spring in your Step

Another Tuesday and another card for the Everybody Art Challenge Blog. This week the theme is Spring.
To make my easel card I have used the excellent sketch from Friday Sketchers and one of my new Magnolia stamps from the Spring Stamp Club.
This card also fits into a couple of challenges, they are:
Magnolia Down Under - Flower Power
r
Materials used:
Core Couture - glitter card for base
Papers - My Minds Eye, Dovehouse Tea House
Medium - Prisma Pencils
Sentiment - LOTV
Embellishments - Prima Flowers, Wild Orchid Crafts, Pearl brads, Lace and Ribbon
Dies - Spellbinder Circles, Nellie Snellen borders and flower die.
The Nellie Snellen dies I picked up at the Make It craft weekend at Farnborough. These dies are definitely the way forward for me, not only are they reasonably priced at £8, they store easier than the Martha Stewart punches.
This was the first craft show I have enjoyed for a long time. Usually they are so busy that its very difficult to see things and I get fed up with crowds very quickly. I got to Farnborough just after lunch and it was bliss!
Thanks for looking.
