EAC. No.110 - Precious Friends

Another week and so that's another card for the Everybody Art Challenge. This week the theme is Friends. I have made this card for my Brother-In-Laws birthday in November. I seem to be making a lot of cards for men at the moment and hopefully I will get around to uploading them soon.
This week I thought I would have a break from using Copics (except for the skin) and have a go at colouring my Precious Moments image using Distress Inks. I have spent a long time drawling at others cards made using these inks and have wanted to try it myself. No bad for a first attempt but Copics are easier.
Items Used
Brown Bazzill Card & Blue paper
Backing Papers: The Paper Loft - Old Towne Tavern/Hamilton
Distress Inks: Vintage, Weathered Wood, Antique Linen, Aged Mahogany
Sentiment: Set from Clear Dollar Stamps
Embellishments: Brads, netting from my local haberdashery and two dog bone buttons from Craftime - It's a Dogs life
Enjoy your week and thanks for looking.

EAC. No. 109 - Autumn Splendour

As the trees are starting to change their colours it's now time for an Autumn card. My card has been created for this weeks challenge over at the
Once again my design has been made with someone in mind and this time it's another work colleague who is passionate about horses.

For a change I have used a DL card shape instead of square, partly because the image was so large that if I used a square card I wouldn't be able to add anything extra.

The image I found on the web and I coloured it with Copics and Distress Inks. I've added stickles glue around the frame and distressed the edges.

I have used Bazzill card layered with a piece of pumpkin paper from the Basic Grey Eerie paper pad.

The punched edge has been made using the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice edger on Basic Grey brown paper.

The flower embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon from a local haberdashery and the horse charm from Ebay.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your week.

Live Karaoke

Thank goodness its the weekend. I am planning to spend some time browsing around my local craft shop and as much time as possible in my craft room surrounded by paper. Bliss.

After getting some time this week to trawl through as many craft challenge blogs as I could find, I have made this card to enter into the Colour Create Challenge Blog , this weeks theme being a Red, Gold, White or Cream colour combo. I am also entering it into this fortnights Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog , the theme is Christmas colours.

I have used a lovely image from Kenny K, this little beauty is called Mad Skillz from the Glam Gang and was a dream to colour.

The face and skin was coloured with Copics, E00, E02 and finished with Vintage Distress Ink. I used Fire Brick Red Distress ink for the clothes and Mustard Yellow. I added shadow with Distress Ink.

Items Used

Gold card

My Minds Eye - Lush Red Damask Flocked Paper (and it is lush)

My Minds Eye - Lush - Red Polka Dot Doubled Sided Paper

Off white linen card for the music bar and the musical notes, created by me and coloured with Copics.

Embellishments: Star from Crafty Bitz and sentiment from Tim Holtz.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend.

EAC No.108 - Skater Dude

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge the theme is "Other Card Form", for my design I have made an easel card in the shape of an octagon. This card has been made for my Cousin who will be a teenager at the end of September.
The graffiti background is made using a couple of different fonts called, Graffiti Treat, Graffiti & Skater Dudes. I have coloured the sentiments with copics and mounted onto black card.
The image I found on the internet as a free colouring page and the papers I found in my ever growing pile of paper.
Thanks for looking and I hope you have time to join in this weeks challenge.

EAC No.107 -

Today's card is for a friend who celebrated her birthday at the weekend. It is my design card for this weeks challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge. The theme is handmade flowers. The beautiful image is called Small Friendship, purchased from Squigglefly, the artist is Cheryl Algar. The papers are from My Minds Eye - Quite Contrary, a freebie in a card magazine. I have used a Martha Stewart punch and a spellbinders die to cut out the flower shapes. Have fun crafting. Jenny
