EAC - Edwin's Ready for Christmas

Morning people it's Tuesday again and another challenge from Everybody Art Challenge but more of that in a minute.
First I need to tell you about my weekend of COPICS, COPICS and more COPICS!
Thanks to the organiser, Wendy who owns Stamps and Memories a group of crafters were able to spend the weekend having fun, learning new techniques and being challenged. Now Wendy couldn't do this alone so Dawny P from Pink Piggy Wiggy was on hand to share her expertise and challenge us with her excellent sketches and colouring techniques. An excellent weekend was had by all.
A little bird tells me another weekend is planned for the beginning of March 2012 and to help with the cost Wendy is willing to accept staged payments. Click here to go to Stamps and Memories website.
OK, back to Everybody Art Challenge, this week we have a simple sketch for you to follow.

I have used the Magnolia image - Edwin on Christmas Eve and I've coloured him using Copics and added sparkle with Stickles glue. Finally my paper from Basic Grey already had swirls so I have added some liquid pearls to bring out the design. Embellishments have been kept to a minimum, the stars are stickers stuck to card and cut out and a few green gems.

Thanks for looking and hopefully you will have time to join us this week.

EAC No 164 - Slow Down and Take It Easy

Happy Tuesday to All.
I can't believe we are nearly at the end of October. Time flies when you are having fun.
This week over at Everybody Art Challenge the theme is Mushrooms. As you can see from my card I haven't used a mushroom as the image only as the background paper.
I have had this cute image from Emerald Faeries for some time now and have been itching to colour it in. How cute is the little elf.
As you can see I have kept the card simple so that the image and mushrooms are the main focus.
I have used Copics to colour the image and distress inks around the edge of the Magnolia paper. I've added organza ribbon and a little tag to finish.

Thanks for looking today and hopefully you will have time to enter the challenge.

EAC - It's a Halloween Party

It's Tuesday again and with yet another month flying by our theme over at Everybody Art Challenge is Halloween. For my card I have made a Halloween party invite.

I really liked this image when I seen it on the Make It Crafty website.
I've coloured the image with Copics and distressed with Prisma Pencils and Distress Ink - Weathered Wood.
The paper is Basic Grey and Echo Park. I found some green wool whiched lended itself to a gnarled tree. Finally a spider embellishment and plastic sentiment was all that was needed to finish the card.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft - Halloween
Cupcake Inspiration - Halloween or Party
Thanks for stopping by today.

EAC No.162 - No Rest For The Wicked

Another Tuesday and another challenge from Everybody Art Challenge.
This week we have an excellent sketch for you to follow.

This week I have kept my card simple. It probably has something to do with it being a masculine card. I don't know about you but I find it very difficult to embellish a masculine card. It is always brads or stars but this week I have used cogs and gears - peel offs. Usually I don't use peel offs but these were particulary nice and suited the card. They are from a company called Craft Creations.

I have used Copics for the image together with Basic Grey papers.
The cogs and gears have been mounted onto actetate, cut out and positioned in various layers.
This card is for my Brother-in-Law who will be celebrating his 50th birthday next month.

Thanks for stopping by today.
