Silver Wedding Card - Two Challenges - Truly Scrumptious & Dutch Dare
This is the Silver Wedding Anniversary card I have made for my sister and her husband. I can't believe how the time has flown, I was very young when they got married. Anyway back to the card, I have used another excellent sketch over at Truly Scrumptious created by Heather. I've had to adapt the sketch a little so as not to cut through the flower in the bottom corner. The extra twist was to use beads somewhere in the design. Whilst blog hopping instead of uploading or crafting, I have come across another card challenge blog called Dutch Dare and their challenge for this week is to use lace. Lucky for me!
Below is a view of the inside. I've got to be honest, I hate doing the inside of a card. I think its because I have spent so long looking at the papers and deciding on the design for the front, I just want to move onto the next project.
In case you are thinking that I used a terrible picture, the faces are hidden on purpose.
Items Used:
To make this card I cut down a piece of A3 Stardream Opal card to 20cm square.
I have used grey bazzill card and cream glitter card as matting. The beautiful flower paper and frame was taken from the Victoriana kit from Create and Craft. The flower in the bottom corner was part of the paper and I have cut around it so that the frame could sit behind. The sentiment was printed onto tracing paper and then I used my Hot Foil Wizard pen to trace over it to fix the foil.
The roses and leaves were bought from my local craft shop and made into to spray.
I finished it with some beads I had in my box and a heart brad
The inside of the card used up all the left over pieces.
Thanks for looking
