EAC - A Mad Rush to the Shops

Happy Tuesday people.
Well I've failed on completing all the Christmas cards that I need but as this happens every year I've got used to it.
Today the challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge is "Anything Goes".
Many of us will still be hitting the shops for those last minute gifts this week so I have used the perfect image to reflect that.

I usually go for the traditional colours for Christmas cards but fancied a change and went for mauve.

Materials Used:
Papers: Deck the Halls - 3 bugs in a rug
Image - Penny Johnson - Chic Shopping ( you can get this from Stamps and Memories and its in the sale for £4.80)
Medium - Copics,  walnut distress ink, white pen for faux stitching
Sentiment - Lili of the Valley
Embellishments: Ribbon, Snowflake ( window sticker, a good find in a £ shop), metal snowflake brad

This is our last challenge until the New Year so hopefully you will have plenty of time to join in.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Papertake Weekly - My Favourite Colours

Good afternoon to all.
I am back again with another card for today and this time its for Papertake Weekly.
This week we are sponsored by Whiff of Joy. To be in with the chance of winning the prize we would like to see a card/project made using your "favourite colour".
Easy I hear you say, although I found it difficult just choosing one and in the end decided on red and green.

I am trying to make some Christmas cards that do not contain so many embellishments so that I can post them easily but I've got to say I am finding it a little difficult as my cards never look finished (in my eyes). These simple cards are taking me longer to complete compared to usual.
Oh well practice makes perfect...... or not in my case.

Materials Used:
Paper -Basic Grey and something else of which I can't remember the name.
Stamp - Whiff of Joy, LOTV (Sentiment)
Finishing touches - Prima Flower, Brad, Lace, Stickles Glue, White pen (stitching)

The team and I look forward to seeing what you come up with, but remember no backlinking as you will not be eligable to win the prize.
