EAC No. 157 - In Sympathy

Where did the long weekend go? I feel like I have blinked and lost a few days. It probably has something to do with wallpapering the hallway instead of having time to craft. Anyway its Tuesday and this week we have a sketch for you to follow over at Everybody Art Challenge.
Recently my neighbour died and this card was made for the family.

To make this card I have used:
Hammer card for the base
Paper from La Creme Stack - DCWV
Image - Poppies from Kanban (stamped a couple of times and decoupaged)
Colours - Copics
Red ribbon

Thanks for stopping by today.

Blog Hop - Everybody Art Challenge 3 Year Celebration

CANDY IS NOW CLOSED

Good morning.
Today is a special day for Everybody Art Challenge as we are celebrating 3 years of weekly challenges.
Time flies when you are having fun and what better way to celebrate the occasion than with our very 1st blog hop.
There will be prizes to win along the way from the Design Team and a prize from Everybody Art Challenge. Be sure to visit each and everyone for inspiration and of course the chance to win lots of goodies.
If you have arrived here from Domi's blog then you are in the right place, if not then you need to pop over to Alex's blog where the blog hop starts. The next person to visit after me is Nadine
To make it easier here is the order in which you should follow;

Alex
Anush
Debby
Domi
Jenny (you are here)
Nadine
Nat
Nixe-Moni
Tina46
The hop will run for a week and winners will be drawn on Tuesday so be sure to get your entry in by Monday.
Before I show you my blog candy, here is my project.
What is it I here you ask......well its an altered mirror. I have used the Sheena Douglass paint fusion technique. The mirror is from Ikea and has been stamped with Sheena's Blackberry stamp and then painted with Pebeo paint. That's it, a quick and simple gift that doesn't cost the earth.

OK, now its time for my blog candy.
Contents: Pro Markers (Spring), Fairy stamps by Sarah Williams, Bride & Groom stamp by Lili of the Valley, various ribbons, string and net, flowers, mini blank tags and a card made by me!

What do you need to do to get your hands on the goodies? After thinking long and hard about expecting comments or asking people to become followers, I decided to forget that idea. There isn't enough time in a day to do crafting as it is after all the chores and family commitments have taken their toll so I got on the web and tracked down a Mr Linky thing. All you need to do is leave your name with Mr Linky by 7pm British time on Monday 22nd August and I will do the rest.
The candy is open to all and I will post anywhere in the world.

If you do have time to spread the word then please do so.

Be warned I haven't used Mr Linky before so I am hoping it will work OK. If you have any problems using it then please leave a comment asking to be included.

Thanks for stopping by today and good luck.

Summer Fun

It's Summer, or at least it should be. The weather cannot seem to make up its mind leaving me with the dilemma of do I put the clothes on the washing line and go to work or dry it inside. No matter what I decide it's always wrong. Anyway enough about house chores.
Today is Tuesday and our theme over at Everybody Art Challenge is Summer.
The picture is not the best, unfortunately I've had to take the photo in the evening so the vibrant colours look a bit washed out.
I've been feeling a little lazy this week so have used things that are already on my desk (I've got a lot on my desk, in fact you can't see my desk!), hence another Lili of the Valley image.
I've coloured my teddy bears tea party in using Prisma Pencils.
The papers are from My Minds Eye and the base card is yellow Bazzill.
The embellishments are ribbon, flowers, pearls and faux stitching.
I haven't used a sentiment this time so that the card can be used for any occasion.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Sunshine and Flowers

It's Tuesday and time for a sketch for you to follow over at Everybody Art Challenge.
For my card I have used some gorgeous paper called Hideaway by First Edition Paper together with a cute image from Lili of the Valley given away free in a recent craft magazine.

I've kept embellishments to a minimum so as not to hide the stripey paper (I love this paper).
The image is coloured with Copics and finished with Liquid Pearl on the envelope and Stickles Glue on the flower.
The embossed paper was achieved using a folder called Daisy by Crafts-Too, inked around the edges and a few pearl gems added.
A Martha Stewart punch was used for the flower design and my sewing machine seen the light of day around the edges of the card/paper.
Ti finish it off I added ribbon, a Sunflower and a sentiment from my box of goodies.

I hope you can join us this week. Thanks for stopping by.
