April Showers

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge the theme is Spring. Given the wet weather that we are suffering in Oxfordshire I immediately thought of April showers (ignoring the fact we are still in March). I have made my card using the Basic Grey - Pheobe and Blush paper range. The cute image is from Hanglar & Stanglar and I have cut her out and attached with foam pads.
The ribbon was one of the very few things I purchased at the NEC at the weekend. Not that I couldn't have found things given the chance. I had two Nieces in tow as a birthday treat and I spent the day answering their questions, watching demos and purchasing things they wanted. It was their first visit and they enjoyed it so a good day for all!
I had planned to go back on Sunday but figured I could just purchase items off the web with the money I would save on parking and admission. I haven't purchased anything yet!
To finish the card I have embellished with cherry blossom flowers and a sentiment printed off the computer.
I am going to enter this card in this weeks challenge over at Charisma Cardz - Spring has Sprung. Thanks for looking. Jenny

Everybody Art No.83 - Easter Bunnies

It's Tuesday already and time for another challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge. This week the theme is Easter so I have combined it with a birthday card for my nephew. Everything on this card is from the Bunny Hop Collection created by Nitwits Collections. I love the papers they are so fresh and the bunnies so cute. I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday so as I can enter their challenge this week. Thanks for looking. Jenny

Vintage Birthday

Today's creation is a vintage card. Its not a style that comes naturally to me but I am pleased with the finished result. The papers started life as pale pink before I added vintage photo distress ink, distress crackle paint and distressed the edges with a pair of scissors. I have picked out the flower design and covered it with Anita's clear gloss and sprinkled with glitter. The image was from a kit I purchased from a TV channel some time ago. To finish the design I have used organza & satin ribbon, lace and paper roses. The butterflies are made from a punch by Crafts Too and finished with pearls, and a few buttons sneeked in. I am going to enter this in the challenge over at Stamp Something which has a theme of Distressed Somethings. Thanks for looking. Jenny

It's Tuesday again so that means another challenge from Everybody Art Challenge and this week we have a sketch for you to follow. I have used a very cute stamp from Pink Gem Designs and coloured it using copics. The papers are from DCWV - Nana's Nursery. Sorry for the short post, time is very short at the moment and 5 ducks are calling for their breakfast! Thanks for looking. Jenny
