<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">I've used the sketch to make a wedding card</span> <span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">but I'm not sure I like it very much</span>.<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;"> I think I should have used different papers but never mind you live and learn.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">The image is a peel off from Little Claire Designs</span> <span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">which I've coloured with Copics</span>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">The papers are a mixture of Basic Grey, GCD Ella Blue and JilliBean Soup.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">Happy Tuesday Crafters.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">Today I would like to share a wedding card I have made for this weeks challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaVaHSkB3FZhdvFbaVfy_sBMK77wb67zxe4gKt0coXZTsGJRSb02qnY4mlitAyv8AxMc2WgiGHGiewfPhxAd94RbN0czVlJYInKaaOMFpUUgWvTS6ohTxwiLeWmNsxkbKGoHGlz3F03vQ/s1600/EAC+-+240412+-+wedding.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaVaHSkB3FZhdvFbaVfy_sBMK77wb67zxe4gKt0coXZTsGJRSb02qnY4mlitAyv8AxMc2WgiGHGiewfPhxAd94RbN0czVlJYInKaaOMFpUUgWvTS6ohTxwiLeWmNsxkbKGoHGlz3F03vQ/s1600/EAC+-+240412+-+wedding.jpg" width="287" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">The picture isn't great as I had to take it in the evening. The card definitely looks better in real life.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">I decided to move away from my comfort zone of colouring an image to try a clean and simple card. I don't think I managed it too well but it's not bad.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">Materials Used:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">Kraft Card </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">Lace</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">Paper Roses and Prima flowers</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">Heart - stamp from Magnolia</span></div>

</div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">Once again I have used the freebie digi from Saturated Canary called Boobie Love but this time I have coloured her with black skin. This was a first for me and was a nice change. I think I will try a few different skin colours over the coming weeks/months.</span></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">Here's my card and I've used a combination of a sewing machine stitch and faux stitching.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbXW_RvT5l3PD7LUJERIzw7s53z_P3mnYQAU-ZeCqU6RUgKPWvzr_n8SZPZT1mckoqmuwbjiN7iI3t36vQ2bTBRH-mvK_cNR8Q4QnBB3F_oIVnOuDDcSSEBeGUlNonZ5DaVW635zOPCPM/s1600/Papertake+-+170412+-+Stitching+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbXW_RvT5l3PD7LUJERIzw7s53z_P3mnYQAU-ZeCqU6RUgKPWvzr_n8SZPZT1mckoqmuwbjiN7iI3t36vQ2bTBRH-mvK_cNR8Q4QnBB3F_oIVnOuDDcSSEBeGUlNonZ5DaVW635zOPCPM/s1600/Papertake+-+170412+-+Stitching+2.jpg" width="398" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I've used Jillibean Soup Blossom pad, pink paper, cream and cranberry card.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">As mentioned above, the image is from Saturated Canary and has been coloured with Copics.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>Skin</strong> - E43,E53, E57, E59, lips R37,R22</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>Hair</strong> - BV29,C7,C5,C3, Prisma black pencil</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>Top</strong> - Pinks V000,V01,V12, w1,W3 </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>Trousers</strong> - B93,B45,B99</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;"><strong>Embellishments</strong> - Tim Holtz metal leaves, pearl gems and tulle</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I have also made my first paper rose with vellum. I seem to have a lot of vellum but it's something that I never use on a card. When I saw the technique shown on Create and Craft by a very talented lady who's name escapes me, I just had to try it. To make this I started with a circle of white vellum and to it I added a swirl of RV34 to give the flower a two tone effect, before cutting into a spiral shape.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">It's nowhere near as good as the examples I see out in blogland so me thinks a lot more practise is needed, but this one has just passed my scrutinising to make it onto the card!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">Be sure to check out my fellow DT buddies for lots more inspiration.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">At the weekend I visited the Alexandra Palace craft show and boy did I spend a lot! If I hadn't run out of time I think I could have kept spending. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Obviously there were the estentials that always seem to run out at the same time so after purchasing that I then added to my bag with a few LOTV stamps, paper from Craftwork Cards, Nellie Snellen stamps, loads of sentiment stamps and other bits and bobs.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Oh well, it will get used at some point.</span><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Two of the items on my DT card for </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong><span style="font-size: large;">Everybody Art Challenge</span></strong> today are new. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">The first being a cute image from Nellie Snellen and second, one of sentiments I purchased from Little Claire Designs.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">Our challenge this week is to see your <strong>"Masculine"</strong> cards/projects and here's mine....</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

<span style="font-family: Courier New;">To encourage you to participate we are kindly sponsored by </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;"><strong><span style="color: blue; font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.whiffofjoy.com/">Whiff Of Joy</a></span></strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;">I've used another Saturated Canary image, this one is called rainy days.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw5KkJmgW4tdKBSbnellDEVcVy-ApKJKq5tOEwQBKXm-NDUIRzMZCxBbJK7CrMz4l1ewdrdb7CURMIx3DygvL-Mep_mMlI5AuKLPvxvBnkiAwbRSwQ6Vb5twLFlI2f-gdY5infJUMkIZE/s1600/100412+-+Papertake+-+April+Showers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="618" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw5KkJmgW4tdKBSbnellDEVcVy-ApKJKq5tOEwQBKXm-NDUIRzMZCxBbJK7CrMz4l1ewdrdb7CURMIx3DygvL-Mep_mMlI5AuKLPvxvBnkiAwbRSwQ6Vb5twLFlI2f-gdY5infJUMkIZE/s1600/100412+-+Papertake+-+April+Showers.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Now I've got to admit I did find this beautiful image difficult to colour, originally I started with a green dress but couldn't get the shading right so that one ended up in the bin. This is my second attempt and I'm pleased with it</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">The backing paper has umbrellas on it but its difficult to see them with all the other layers and to soften the edges </span><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I've embossed with white powder. The other paper used is from a Jillibean Soup pad.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;">Copics used - Dress - B000, B00,B02, B45, Apron & Umbrella - Y11, Y02, (I can't remember the darker colour), Wellies - Y11, Y03, G21, Skin - E000,E00, E21, E02, Hair - E53, E31 highlighted with Sepia Prisma Pencil.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;">Other embellishments - ribbon, flowers, Memory Box fence die, Martha Stewart punch.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;">I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;"><a href="http://www.cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/">Cupcake Craft Challenge</a> - Spring is in the air</span><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I've made this card using one of my favourite stamps which I have had for an age. It's the perfect image for a female when cute isn't quite right. The company is Stamps Happen Inc and it's called Paris Socialite. If you would like to buy this stamp, pop over to Simon Says Stamp.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I really like the papers used but unfortunately I can't tell you anything about them as I received then as a Christmas present and there isn't any company name on them.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I used Copics (B000, B00, B02, RV10, E000, E00,E02, C7, C5) to colour the image and Tim Holtz Distress Inks around the edge. To add sparkle to her clothing I've used liquid pearl and stickles glue.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">To embellish the card I have stitched around the edge of the papers and added a couple of clear gems.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<div align="center"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I've made a simple masculine easel card using brown and cream as my colour scheme. </span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">Instead of using my trusted Copics, this week I thought I would try a different technique and coloured the image using Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">The image is a cutie from Lawrence Stamps, can you believe I purchased this last October and have only just stamped it up. I seem to be accumulating quite a few stamps that haven't seen the light of day as yet.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">I've used Tim Holtz Distress card and have sanded around the edges to reveal the lighter colour underneath. The embossed Happy Birthday card I created by using the Papermania embossing board. I bought this at the Farnborough show last weekend and it was a bargain for £2.99.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">I have created the sentiment using the same embossing board.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">To finish off I used some ribbon and a brad.</span></div><div align="center"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I have used one of my favourite Magnolia stamps and coloured her with Prisma Pencils. This little cutie can be used for so many occasions. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">The papers are co-ordinated and I've had them for about 3 years. Madness I know but I just couldn't bring myself to use them. Unfortunately the photo isn't very good so the papers are a little washed out. At the moment I only seem to be able able to take photos in the evenings or early morning which is never ideal. Roll on the Summer. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">The sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp about friends being chocolate chips.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">The other embellishments used are lace, ribbon, brads, Prima flowers, hat pin and a couple of very old pearls.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have been practising another technique tutorial over at Color Me Creative which is part of the Magnolia 3 class. It's how to create a tiled floor. This is my first attempt and is not too bad.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I've kept the card simple so that the picture is the main focus.<br />
The white paper has been embossed using a Cuttlebug herringbone design, the black paper has a linen effect.<br />
I've added stitching using a white pen.<br />
The sentiment is a stamp by Rachel Miller. I cut out a circle, coloured it with Copics and edged with white embossing powder, to finish off I used a punch to add some small holes.<br />
Finally I added 3 types of ribbon, a few flowers and a couple of brads and hey presto.<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">My design is an Advent Calendar, known as a Christmas Countdown card. My first Christmas card for the year.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPF5VM1UB-AKCS6kLJfkqyyNyJv0bpQmplbWLT7FqytLqc8caXhTgYOhttC-pwPIJJ6NBx5M8WgZLWoKWw2OLood9Zc2en6sbCuhWbV3weDELhjLz7scAKAN4Hdlgr0d1kSQHWczn0_wY/s1600/EAC+-+No.180+-+Calendar+-+Xmas+Countdown.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPF5VM1UB-AKCS6kLJfkqyyNyJv0bpQmplbWLT7FqytLqc8caXhTgYOhttC-pwPIJJ6NBx5M8WgZLWoKWw2OLood9Zc2en6sbCuhWbV3weDELhjLz7scAKAN4Hdlgr0d1kSQHWczn0_wY/s1600/EAC+-+No.180+-+Calendar+-+Xmas+Countdown.jpg" width="553" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So what have I done to put this card together:</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">To make the countdown I followed the instructions created by Tanja over at </span><a href="http://stempeleinmaleins.blogspot.com/2009/11/christmas-countdown.html"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Stempeleinmaleins</span></a><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">The image is Sweet Christmas Tilda coloured with Copics.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I recently signed up for a class over at <a href="http://scrapbitzcopics.ning.com/">Color Me Creative</a> - class 5 and one of the techniques is to use a flicking motion to blend instead of my tried and trusted circles. This method uses less ink and I've got to say it didn't come easy but I'm pleased with the result.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">I've used Basic Grey Jovial papers and also made my own with a Magnolia snowflake image.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">Distress ink was used to edge the paper along with white embossing powder.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">I found the ribbon in my ever growing stash and figured a large bow would be the perfect finishing embellishment.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">That's about it for now. I hope you can join us this week.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

This week we want to see<span style="font-size: large;"> swirls</span> on your project. </div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip9He3_uoG8gvNknwY95eWcFPS3Qj6tVoFMAtqc0vAlOBX-UZ8TYJ90S2VLx6iq4J-2JppN3xbxqgksaGjbllkVtTwcJwLgUMm2i3h9OPNKI1HVTrHHJP-rattEgNtRLAn_1SbytWjsJg/s1600/EAC+-+No.+177+-+Swirls+-+Geeky+Love+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip9He3_uoG8gvNknwY95eWcFPS3Qj6tVoFMAtqc0vAlOBX-UZ8TYJ90S2VLx6iq4J-2JppN3xbxqgksaGjbllkVtTwcJwLgUMm2i3h9OPNKI1HVTrHHJP-rattEgNtRLAn_1SbytWjsJg/s1600/EAC+-+No.+177+-+Swirls+-+Geeky+Love+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip9He3_uoG8gvNknwY95eWcFPS3Qj6tVoFMAtqc0vAlOBX-UZ8TYJ90S2VLx6iq4J-2JppN3xbxqgksaGjbllkVtTwcJwLgUMm2i3h9OPNKI1HVTrHHJP-rattEgNtRLAn_1SbytWjsJg/s640/EAC+-+No.+177+-+Swirls+-+Geeky+Love+1.jpg" width="625" /></a>For most crafters swirls are easy to add to a card but not for me. I spent an age going through all my papers trying to find swirls and finally settled on Basic Grey. The image is a digi from Make It Crafty called Geeky Love. I really like this image but unfortunately printed it just a little too big and that made it harder to come up with a card layout.......so I kept it simple.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The image was a dream to colour and gave me the opportunity to practice colouring folds. I've recently signed up to take Class 5 by Suzanne Dean at <a href="http://scrapbitzcopics.ning.com/"><strong><span style="color: #351c75;">Color Me Creative</span></strong></a> and one of the lessons is to colour folds using Copics. Um....a little more work on my part I feel.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am trying to get out of my comfort zone as I tend to always go for the Copic colours that I find easiest to use, pink isn't one of them. For some reason they always seem flourescent and difficult to blend. For this card I have used the RV range.</div><div style="text-align: center;">The boy's jumper was coloured using Ws and the trousers were Es and Ws.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I used a Spellbinders heart nestability for the background. To get this effect I lightly traced around the edge with a pencil and then coloured the heart using RV000, taking light strokes from the outside to the middle.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Embellishments were kept to a minimum because too many didn't look right. In the end I settled for Prima flowers, brads, gem swirls and a Tim Holtz sentiment.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><strong>I would like to enter the following challenges:</strong></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.com/">Corrosive Challenge</a> - I Heart You</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://wagsnwhiskersrubberstamps.blogspot.com/">Wags n Whiskers</a> - Valentine/Love</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have some new paper by Papermania called Portobello Road, its based on the British Union Jack and has been brought out in time to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have used my papers with a Magnolia image perfect for a celebration.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I've added bling in the form of glitter glue to the flowers, the image and to edge the paper.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The cute Union Jack buttons are also from Papermania.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
