Magnolia Fairytale - EAC No. 113

Another week and another card, this time using a Magnolia stamp from the Spring Stamp Club pack. It's the first time of using this image as I had put her in a drawer and forgot about her, in fact I don't think I have inked up any from the set until now.
This week's card is for the Everybody Art Challenge Blog, the theme is "Blue, Green & Brown".

I have used some gorgeous papers from the Basic Grey Cappella Pad together with green Bazzill card to layer with. I am getting a little adventurous with my sewing machine and have moved on from a simple straight stitch to a zig zag and it went without a hitch! Which is more than I can say about my disastrous colouring of the image. I thought I would try distress inks again but I find it so difficult to get a smooth colour. Copics are definitely easier for me.

To finish the card I have used blue Organza Ribbon, blue gems, a flower from Wild Orchid Crafts, a Martha Stewart punch and finally the sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps. Oh and stickles glitter glue to add a bit of sparkle.

I have a week off of work this week so am hoping to get a day making cards although the time is supposed to be spent continuing with house renovations. Maybe my other half with take pity on me later in the week! Fingers crossed.

Have a great week and thanks for looking.

Magnolia Halloween - EAC No.112

With the end of October coming fast and Halloween just around the corner, this weeks challenge over at the Everybody Art Challenge Blog is Halloween.
I have used a cute Magnolia stamp, which is the only image I own that could be used for a Halloween card.
I started this card with a pale grey Bazill card, inked around the edge in black and stickled with Platinum glitter.
The background paper is from the Basic Grey - Eerie paper pad. To this I added black faux stitching and a few crosses of silver thread (didn't have enough of this to do all the card).
The spiders web in the corner is an onion bag.
The spider web paper is by Echo Park Paper Co, purchased at the Warwickshire Bead & Craft show a few weekends ago.
The October word is part of a Sizzix die mounted onto black card and the Bats, Ghost and Boo! is from a small Cuttlebug die.
Extra Embellishments
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Spider stickers - Sandylion Essentials
Ribbon - Hobbycraft
Oh I nearly forgot, the image is coloured using Pumice Stone and Antique Linen Distress Ink and glittered using more Platinum Stickles. The skin was coloured using E00 & E02. The shadows were made using Vintage Photo ink and a dry brush.
I am entering this card into the following challenges;
I hope you like the card and have a great week.

I have made another male card and for the first time in a long time it hasn't been made for anyone in particular.
I have used the September freebie from Kenny K. I am loving these images, they are so easy to colour. The papers are from My Minds Eye - Complete Boy, definitely worth the buy as the pad has 180 12x12 papers for £19.95.

Paper - Complete Boy from My Minds Eye
Image - Kenny K
Medium - Distress inks, Copics and Liquid Pearls (Silver)
