EAC No. 106 - Glamorous at 50

My goodness it's Tuesday again, this year is definitely flying by. This week over at Everybody Art Challenge we have a sketch for you to follow. It should have been an easy sketch to follow but because I wanted to use this free image from Sassy Design Studio I had to swap the circle for an oval and then nothing seemed to look right. The card was made for my Mum to give to her friend who is celebrating her 50th birthday this month.
To make this card:
Backing paper: White card embossed using impressionabilities and then inked with Tattered
Rose Distress Ink.
Papers: Cappella Paper by Basic Grey
Embellishments: Brown velvet ribbon and flowers. Oh and a couple of diamond gems.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the week.

EAC. No.105 - Under the Sea

This week over at Everybody Art Challenge we have an excellent theme, "Sea/Beach". I chose the sea as I found a perfect image free on the web. My Nephew will be moving into a new home very soon and this just fits. I really enjoyed making this card because it came together very quickly and is very bright and cheerful. To make this card: Paper - The Lydia Collection, Melody Ross by GCD Studio. Image - Fish, downloaded from freecoloringpages.com and coloured with copics. Embellishments - Shipwreck cut from a piece of corrugated card. The Crab and Anchor is a sizzix die. Plant found in my many bits and bobs. Fish netting bought in a local haberdashery. Sentiment created on the computer. Thanks for looking and hopefully you will join in this week. Jenny

EAC 104 - Summer Love

Ooops I forgot it was Tuesday so am a little late posting my this weeks card. Today over at Everybody Art Challenge we have an excellent theme of "In the Garden". I have made my card for my Sister's Wedding Anniversary. To make this card, I started with red bazzill card, layered with black paper and backing paper from Creative Imaginations - Debbie Mumm. The image is another freebie I found on the website, Super Coloring. It's called Two Rabbits are Playing Together. I've coloured it with copics. To finish off I have added a couple of flowers that I coloured and curled to make them look like poppies. The spider is made by Sandylion Essentials and I have put her on the card as if she is making a new web. Thanks for looking and enjoy the week. Jenny

I created the sentiment on the computer and finished everything off with an organza bow and flower. Thanks for looking and enjoy the week. Jenny

EAC - 102 - Never Too Old to Have Fun

This week over at Everybody Art challenge the theme is Pirates.
At first I didn't know what to create as I had no pirate stamps and no little boy to make a card for. I don't know how you feel on the subject but crafting is a very expensive hobby if you purchase a stamp for each theme.
I had noticed on a few blogs, other people that had made some fantastic card designs using Magnolia or Mo Manning stamps. I wanted to find an image that hadn't been used before, so after searching the web for hours, I came across an old pirate that was perfect for an old guy and it was free to use! When I say free, there are obviously terms and conditions, one of these being for personal use only. My card is, because it is for my Dad's birthday.
I also found lots more free images on a range of subjects. Enough I hear you say, where did you get it from? The pirate is from www.Supercoloring.com and the parrot is from www.coloring-pictures.net these sites are aimed at children and schools. Another site with a variety of images is www.cksinfo.com I think I found the chest on this site.
As always the image has been coloured with copics.
The red stripe paper was a freebie in a magazine some time ago. The black paper is from Black Market Paper Society - Arsenic & Old Lace. The brown paper is from an old K&Co pad, distressed with ink. The shells are from the new Magnolia Summer kit.
Some of you have asked where I got the motorbike rider image from. Sorry I haven't replied sooner, I have been on a long holiday. The image I got quite some time ago and have not been able to find it again. Whilst looking for you I came across some similar images and these you will not need to purchase coloring-pages-to-print.blogspot or Karensdoodles.com has a great image to buy called, "Born to Ride"
Thanks for looking and have a great week hunting for new images.
