Todays card was supposed to be a quick one but it turned into a disaster all because of the backing paper (Anna Griffiths). I love this paper but I find it very difficult to get anything else to go with it. I stamped the flowers and butterflies onto a piece of card that I covered with distress inks (peeled paint and mustard yellow) and spritzed with water to get the water marks. The rust/orange paper although not a perfect match was the best of a bad job. It was embossed with a cuttlebug folder and sanded a little. To finish off I used satin ribbon and gold peel offs for the border.
Check out the beautiful work created by the DT over at Everybody Art Challenge.
Thanks for looking.

I love to look at pretty paper and card and not use it, although I am getting better!
