EAC No. 130 - Kanban Image

Happy Tuesday everyone,

it's time for another challenge from the Everybody Art Challenge Blog and this week my fellow design team member Alex has created a sketch for us all to follow.

I have cheated slightly because the rectangle shape shouldn't really be on the card if I was following the sketch exactly, unfortunately the card just didn't look right without it.

For a change I have used a rectangle shaped card which means I can enter it into this weeks challenge over at One Stitch at a Time - Anything but square.

To make the card:

Image - Kanban

Medium - Prisma Pencils Card/Paper - Black & Red Bazzill card, the striped paper is from DCWV and I can't remember where the background paper has come from.

Sentiment - Created on the computer

Embellishments - Pearls

Magnolia - Chocolate Treats

Hi to all,

here is a quick card I have made using this weeks sketch over at Magnolia Down Under. I have used this cute Tilda image and coloured her with Prisma Pencils. The papers are from Basic Grey and the half circles are the packaging from Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Maybe that's why I finished the card so quickly!

The Sunflower I found whilst on holiday in Canada, the roses are from my local pound shop and the ribbon and buttons I already had.

I have followed the theme to the inside of the card.

I am also entering my card into the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge as the theme this week is square cards.

Magnolia Mermaid - Easel Cake Card

Happy Tuesday everyone, although this post has gone out on Monday night thanks to an over zealous right finger!

This week at Everybody Art Challenge we have a simple recipe for you to follow which is "three papers, 3 flowers"

I have made an easel cake card after seeing the fantastic designs created by Kathrin of Kruemels Bastel-Blog and her excellent instructions that can be found at Stempeleinmaleins.

I've got to say it took me hours and I can assure you it had nothing to do with the instructions or the length of time it usually takes me to choose paper. This time it was what sketch to use, what embellishments to add and box making (I'm not the quickest!)

Inside of Card

Ingredients used:

Base - Core'ordinations Glitter card

Papers - TeaHouse from Dovecraft (I love these pastel papers)

Images - Magnolia Mermaid, Bird and Rpoe from the Summer Stamp Club Kit Medium - Prisma Pencils and Copics Embellishments - various Ribbon, Anchor Brad, 3 Prima Flowers, Candles and String.

What is supposed to look like wooden stumps is rolled up pieces of brown paper, distressed with Prisma Pencils.

Sentiment - Free with some My Minds Eye Papers in a 2010 craft magazine.

Stickles Glitter Glue - around the edge of the sentiment and flowers

You Drive Me Crazy

Today's challenge over at the Everybody Art Challenge Blog is Valentine. I have made my card as masculine as possible without using the traditional red,black or pink. I have also kept the sentiment generic so that the card can be used for a birthday if required.

I am entering my card in the Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge which is Valentine without red or pink.

The cute image is from LOTV sent to me by my fellow DT member, Domi. Thanks Domi. I have used Prisma Pencils to colour the image and for some reason be it camera or light, the car doesn't look as purple as the colour I have used.

The base card is Core-ordination's card, layered with purple bazzill card, then Kanban paper and finally the dotty paper is from a new pad called Animal Antics by First Edition Paper. I love looking at this paper!

The button is the closest I could get to a wheel and its from the Tim Holtz range as is measuring tape stamp.

The bigger heart is homemade using UTEE and an Anita's sentiment stamp, the smaller hear is a sticker layered onto card. The hearts are held together with a spanner brad and round brad.

The sentiment I created on the computer and tried to make it look like a sign post. I think I failed miserably.

I only added one flower to fill a space. I find it very difficult to find masculine embellishments that are not golf or football.
